I got this speaker to attach to our projector because the onboard sound of the projector wasn't great and didn't extend far. I watched and read a lot of reviews and settled on this one for its combination of sound quality and price point. I didn't want to buy a super expensive speaker, nor a large one but still wanted to maximize the sound quality. It also needed to have an AUX cable because the projector isn't bluetooth enabled. This fit the bill. The sound quality isn't super great, but it's what you would expect this price point. There's almost zero bass, despite there being some kind of bass booster apparently. But for the the types of movies that we watch, there doesn't need to be a ton of bass; just clear sound, which this has. If you're looking to listen to music from this though, just basic connecting to your phone or computer, I'd look elsewhere, especially if you like bass heavy music. The sound on my echo show is waaaaaay better than this. But of course, the Echo Show isn't $40 either. So there's that. For the price and my needs, this does the job. It looks good too, which is a bonus and fits nicely in the carrying case with the projector and the rest of its accessories, which was important to me.
