Like others stated, the battery life varies depending on your settings. I have it set to play podcasts, then rain sounds once I fall asleep. Most of the time that lasts all night. If for some reason I wake up, and then go back to music mode (Bluetooth) then it might not go back to the sleep sounds.
Bluetooth is a bit intermittent as well.
But honestly, these have been the best thing yet for sleeping headphones, so giving it 4 stars.
This is one of the best purchases I've ever made. I've been using bluetooth receivers and cabled earbuds for several years due to lack of options that were comfortable, and discovered these when revisiting options. It's great - and contrary to many buds designed for sleep, it *does* support acting as a normal bluetooth receiver instead of limiting you to playing just on-board music (I need to be able to do audio books/podcasts or other audio sources).
I'm frequently on my side and have had zero physical issues. After a couple of weeks or so, they have never fallen out, and I've never accidentally activated the pressure control on the earbuds just by pressing against the pillow. It's just *worked*.
The *only* "complaint" I have is the battery time. The battery time is consistent with what's advertised, it's just that what's advertised is not a full night of continuous playback. I usually wake up with 40-60% battery left (using it in Bluetooth mode) due to some amount of active playback time and most of the night idling. I ran out a couple of times. Once due to intentionally using it a lot due to having difficulty sleeping, the other time because I forgot to set a sleep timer on the content.
This is likely because of a battery volumetric density limitation, and increasing battery size would probably come with trade-offs. Hence the "complaint" is in scare quotes.
I'm a side sleeper and I never use earbuds. Don't like having things in my ears. These are amazing, I don't even notice they are in place, the noise masks my husband's music. Best sleep of my life since getting these. Multiple size options took a bit to find the right fit, so be patient with that part. They connect quickly and easily, even when the Internet is down they work. Love them!
I've been using the Soundcore Sleep A10 for 4 months and I like it a lot. Here are the pros:
-I love how I can use it for music mode and sleep mode — really useful for sleep meditation exercises because it switches to sleep mode when it detects that I've fallen asleep.
-They also have a big library of sleep sounds that you can preload one at a time on the earbuds. My favorite is Snoring Attenuation 2 because...
-I got these primarily to block my husband's snoring and my goodness, they work absolutely well in that respect. I was very pleasantly surprised.
-The app looks good and is easy to navigate.
-Alarm function is really useful. I work nights and sometimes take naps so I need it to alert me to the time without waking anybody else up.
Now for the cons:
-These aren't as comfortable as the Amazfit Zenbuds. In particular, the hard body makes my crus of helix sore after wearing them for one night.
-The battery life leaves much to be desired. The sleep sounds have to be playing at around 80% volume for me; otherwise they don't block external noise. So I only get about 6 hours of use with these even if I use them purely in sleep mode. As time goes by, that number will only decrease further. At least these earbuds don't have the annoying beeps that Amazfit Zenbuds play at intervals when battery is low; the Soundcore Sleep A10 just turns off.
UPDATE: Added one star to my rating because of the fantastic customer support, which made me feel seen and heard. I look forward to the next iteration of these sleep earbuds.
These are unbelievably comfortable. I can’t even feel them when I lay on my side. The sound quality is amazing. I love the app!! Just wish they had a mic and could use during calls, but they are still worth every penny!
