Wanted to find something with a great mic and good enough sound quality and these were the ones i heard was good and surprise they are BUT there is a problem with them.
sound quality is good from the lows to the mids, just could use an extra eq for it like a 15k hz. coming for a guy with migraines so I'm a little more sensitive to higher frequencies.
sound quality is like 3/5 for their price could be a 5 with better treble eq
mic is 5/5 phone calls people can hear me pretty clear and even being outside i had no issues with background noises and i live in a flat area so wind is a issue but the mic has no problem blocking out the wind so Big W
fit is 4/5 feels
design 5/5 the charging case is small and fits nicely in pockets
connectivity 5/5 had no problems on walks with these
more about the sound, the bass can get really thumpy and loud, wth eq i got these to sound less muddy but still had nice bass presence to have bass drums sounds natural. Mids sound just right vocals sound forward enough in the mix to be enjoyable and have very nice clarity there.
THE HIGHS were bad with these, everything sounded harsh and symbols on drum kits sounded tinny and vocals sounded harsh if they had more S's in their words while singing and that for some reason kinda thinned out softer voices even if its a male or female vocalist.
the soundstage sounded pretty good id say the instruments in rock or metal tracks never felt like they were congested. same goes with hip hop tracks
im no audiophile just someone who understands enough about frequencies to know that there's trouble in the treble, if soundcore reads this please have an update soon where we can eq 15k-16k hz thanks :)
when my ears get fatigued i use the lower treble preset since from that preset actually downs the 15-16khz but sacrifices a lot of clarity in the mids and the muddy bass is up front in the mix..
i would recommend if you are looking for cans that can do phone calls and you are not sensitive to treble. i can see anyone using these for meetings and casual listening
i would give these a overall rating of 3.5 stars out of 5. Could be a 4.5 stars or even a 5 stars with more customization in treble
